About The Position

Gulfstream’s Flight Sciences team is seeking an experienced Software and Performance Engineer to develop, test, and support certification of flight-critical software for fly-by-wire flight controls, aircraft performance, and mission planning. The role works across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and model-based design through simulation, integration testing, flight testing, and certification. The engineer will use MATLAB, Simulink, and Python and collaborate with Flight Sciences, Labs, Flight Test, and other engineering teams. The position is part of an established 11-person team and offers work at the intersection of software engineering, flight controls, aircraft performance, and aircraft testing. The role supports planning, coordination, design, analysis, and engineering liaison work related to the development and production of Gulfstream products and services. It contributes to important engineering projects, provides specialized technical assistance, develops technical solutions to difficult problems, and determines approaches to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Work is performed under limited supervision and may be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with overall objectives. The engineer also helps improve processes and product quality, keeps current with developments in relevant technical fields, and performs other duties as assigned.
