About The Position

Gulfstream’s Flight Sciences team is seeking an experienced Software and Performance Engineer to develop, test, and certify flight-critical software supporting fly-by-wire flight controls, aircraft performance, and mission planning. The role spans the software development lifecycle, from requirements and modeling through simulation, integration testing, flight testing, and certification. The engineer will work with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python and collaborate with engineers across Flight Sciences, Labs, Flight Test, and other engineering teams. The position is part of an established 11-person team and involves work at the intersection of software engineering, flight controls, aircraft performance, and aircraft testing. The position contributes to engineering planning and projects, provides specialized technical assistance, and develops technical solutions to difficult problems with limited supervision. It also supports design, analysis, and liaison engineering for Gulfstream products and services. The role is based in Savannah, Georgia, is on the first shift, and may involve up to 25% travel.
