About The Position

Alta Contracting, a full-service commercial and industrial demolition contractor with over 20 years in the construction industry, is seeking field laborers specializing in soft demolition. In this hands-on role, you will help safely and efficiently complete demolition tasks at worksites by following established procedures. The position is based in person, requires commuting to Corona, California, and involves regular travel, with 75% travel availability required. The job is full-time, with 40 hours per week and pay of $23.50–$28.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to commute to Corona, California.
• Must be able to walk and stand constantly and lift debris weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Must be open to working days, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be open to working with others.
• One year of commercial demolition experience is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience with standard demolition tools, hand tools, and power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soft demolition, including removing fixtures, non-load-bearing walls, and interior components.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment needed for soft demolition.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment.
• Assist with removing and disposing of demolition debris and waste materials.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and promptly report issues.
