About The Position

Alta Contracting is seeking experienced demolition laborers to perform soft demolition at commercial and industrial worksites. The role involves hands-on demolition work performed according to established procedures, with an emphasis on safe and efficient execution. The position is based in person, requires regular travel, and requires commuting to Corona, California. Travel availability of 75% is mandatory.

The job is full-time, with 40 hours scheduled per week. The listed hourly pay range is $23.50 to $28.00. Workers must be open to day, night, and weekend work if needed.

Requirements

• Must have legally authorized ability to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to commute to Corona, California.
• Must be available to travel 75%.
• Must be able to walk and stand constantly and physically lift debris weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work with others.
• Must be open to working days, nights, and weekends if needed.
• Must have one year of commercial demolition experience (mandatory).

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience with standard demolition tools, hand tools, and power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soft demolition, including removing fixtures, non-load-bearing walls, and interior components.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment needed for soft demolition.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment.
• Assist with removal and disposal of demolition debris and waste materials.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and promptly report issues.
