About The Position

Under the direction of the Soft Count Supervisor, the Soft Count Clerk counts revenue from all casino departments, including gaming and nongaming. The role is responsible for collecting funds from slot machines and accurately reporting and documenting funds received through gaming play. The clerk must follow applicable gaming regulations, federal and state laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures, while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• At least one year of cash handling experience.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal.
• Ability to communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner.
• Knowledge of 10-key and balancing banks.
• Solid decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking, hands-on environment.
• Minimum age of 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Collect funds from slot machines.
• Accurately report and document funds received through gaming play.
• Assist in sorting, counting, and recording currency in the Count Room.
• Count revenues from all casino departments, both gaming and nongaming.
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Complete reported drop totals accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
