About The Position
The Soft Count Clerk works in the Money Room counting casino gaming monies. The role handles large volumes of cash and chips and is responsible for accurately counting, sorting, bundling, recording, balancing, comparing, and wrapping money. The clerk also identifies counterfeit bills, uses computers to enter or retrieve data, maintains money-room security, and cleans designated work areas. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The listed pay is $16.25.
Requirements
- 10-key proficiency by touch.
- Tolerance for repetitive work.
- Ability to apply basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Experience handling large volumes of cash.
Responsibilities
- Handle large volumes of cash and chips.
- Count, sort, bundle, and record cash.
- Clean work areas as designated by management.
- Count and balance all monies.
- Identify counterfeit bills.
- Individually wrap all denominations of money after the initial count.
- Compare all money totals.
- Use computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.
- Maintain money-room security according to rules.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
