Lead Soft Count Clerk
About The Position
The Lead Soft Count Clerk oversees the operation of the soft count room and staff in the absence of the Soft Count Supervisor. The role performs and accurately records drop box counts in accordance with department policies and procedures; oversees sorting and counting chips and currency from drop boxes and the strapping of currency; ensures the clear and accurate posting of the Games summary sheet; and oversees preparation of cash and chips for transfer to the cage. Additional job duties may be assigned by the department manager. This is a full-time position. Starting wage is $24.43 per hour, increasing to $25.01 per hour upon successful completion of the 90-day orientation period. The position includes employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits. Applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required. Marijuana use will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of prior soft count experience.
- Six months of supervisory experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays.
- Must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
- Ability to stand for longer than 8 hours.
- Good manual and finger dexterity.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and squat, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Mobility to climb stairs routinely.
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
Nice To Haves
- Some college with emphasis in accounting or business management.
- Ten-key experience.
