About The Position
The Soft Count Clerk works within the Money Room to count casino gaming monies and reports to the Soft Count Supervisors and Manager. The position involves handling large volumes of cash and chips, counting and balancing money, identifying counterfeit bills, and maintaining money-room security. The role is part-time, scheduled Thursday through Monday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Weekly earned wage access is available as an option.
Requirements
- Proficiency with a 10-key keypad by touch.
- Tolerance for repetitive work.
- Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Experience handling large volumes of cash.
Responsibilities
- Handle large volumes of cash and chips.
- Count, sort, bundle, and record cash.
- Clean work areas as designated by management.
- Count and balance all monies.
- Identify counterfeit bills.
- Individually wrap all denominations of money after the initial count.
- Compare totals of monies.
- Use computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.
- Maintain money-room security according to rules.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
