About The Position

The Soft Count Clerk performs daily cash counts and accurately records the contents of casino drop boxes while following department policies and procedures. Duties include sorting and counting chips and currency, verifying currency strapping amounts, clearly and accurately posting and consolidating the games summary sheet, and reconciling posted amounts with counted amounts. The position promotes the casino’s goal of providing superior guest service and performs additional duties as assigned by the department manager. This is a full-time position. Starting pay is $21.59 per hour, increasing to $22.17 per hour after successful completion of the 90-day orientation period. The position includes employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Cash handling experience.
Good math skills.
Ability to stand for longer than 8 hours.
Good manual and finger dexterity.
Ability to bend, reach, and squat.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
Ability to work all scheduled shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays.
Obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
Pass pre-employment drug testing.
Additional education or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
