About The Position

The incumbent will provide brief solution focused individual counseling as well as group counseling services including assessment, support and co-ordination of services to individuals who are experiencing distress or dysfunction related to mental and/or substance abuse disorder, trauma, cumulative stress or problems in living. This position may require working with clients on a drop in basis as well as some community work.

Requirements

• 1 year of supervised clinical counselling experience in a mental health and addictions program.
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Registered Social Worker (RSW).
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).
• Advanced Assessment skills.
• Advanced Facilitation skills.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Advanced Organizational skills.
• Advanced Interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Counseling skills.
• Advanced Communication skills.
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming.
• Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting.

• Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
