About The Position
The Social Worker position covers inpatient areas and requires experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting. The role coordinates patient care and facilitates discharge planning as part of the team. Department-specific orientation will be conducted onsite and via online meetings. The position has 40 guaranteed hours per week, with 10-hour shift lengths. Shifts run on days from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend requirements. Holiday work is not required. Artificial nails are prohibited in departments providing patient care.
Requirements
- Two years of experience required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Nebraska CSW license required.
- A Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is required for office roles.
- A Master of Social Work (MSW) is required for inpatient roles.
- Experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
