About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the CV PreOp unit at a healthcare facility in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit is located in Building E, the Heart Tower, and has four beds. Patient ratios are 1:1. Registered nurses are supported by a clinical nurse coordinator, secretary, and manager. The position involves caring for patients in a fast-paced, professional environment and managing a high-acuity patient area. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology and a highly skilled team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• PreOp experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and manage a high-acuity patient area.
• Perform large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, and skin assessments.
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin preparation.
