About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join the team. This position involves working the night shift and providing essential support to the surgical team in a hospital environment. The role requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Requirements

• At least six months of operating room experience or completion of a Scrub Tech course.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Facility-specific Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Associate's/Technical degree or a combination of education and related experience is preferred.
• Surgery Technician certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing essential support to the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgeries.
• Ensure that surgical instruments and supplies are available and in proper working order.
• Manage and handle specimens as necessary during surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments and materials to ensure patient safety.
