About The Position
The Medical Assistant - Certified will provide vital support in a Hematology and Oncology outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include assisting with patient rooming and maintaining back-office workflow to ensure efficient patient care. The Medical Assistant will support a maximum of 2 providers and assist approximately 20 patients each day, focusing on those with hematology and oncology diagnoses.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required.
- Current BLS Certification and Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) required.
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
- Strong experience in back-office work.
- All candidates must possess a valid driver's license at the time of application.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and assist in back-office operations.
- Transcribe orders into the electronic medical record system (Epic).
- Communicate with patients through messaging and reminder calls.
- Prepare and organize patient charts for providers.
- Handle faxes and other administrative tasks as needed.
