About The Position

Under the direction of the program area manager, as applicable, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members
in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Requirements

• Experience working with mental health and addiction community outreach
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Basic - Computer skills
• Basic - Presentation skills
• Basic - Interpersonal skills
• Basic - Writing skills
• Basic - Conflict resolution skills
• Basic - Problem solving skills
• Basic - Verbal communication skills
• Knowledge in various mental health disorders and stability interventions
• Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies
• Knowledge in harm reduction in Addictions Medicine
• Knowledge in recovery philosophy
• Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge in applicable Acts
• Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
• Knowledge in community resources and services in the clinical area
• Ability to work independently
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
