About The Position

The incumbent will provide Mental Health intake services to Mental Health and Addiction Services throughout the area, as well as providing some short-term counselling / therapeutic services to individuals and families. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development, and education. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The incumbent is accountable for overseeing smooth delivery of intake services and the delivery of referrals for services internally to the appropriate program and staff. As well, the incumbent will provide some appropriate assistance to clients in the form of suggestions, guidance and / or direction to help clients obtain services external to Mental Health and Addictions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Computer skills
• Organizational skills
• Communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients
• Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills
• Ability to work in a team setting in a positive manner
• Sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity/responsibility
• Ability to conduct assessments/prioritize client needs/develop treatment plans
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
• Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year community/inpatient experience in addictions/mental health is an asset

Responsibilities
