About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work is seeking to fill two open-rank tenure-stream positions. The rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidates. The positions are set to begin in the fall of 2026. The school is particularly interested in hiring at least one new colleague with expertise in health, health care, health systems, and/or integrated health care, including mental health and substance use systems. Additionally, the school welcomes applicants who can enhance their existing scholarly and educational efforts in areas such as mental health, substance use, gerontology, gender-based violence, social movements, and disability justice. A commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression, collaborative engagement, and collective liberation is expected, along with a critical social work lens applied to community-engaged research with real-world impact, focusing on disparities and systemic issues.
