The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to recruit a dynamic candidate to expand its clinical and/or basic science research programs within its Neuromuscular Section. This is a full-time faculty position with the opportunity for academic promotion, determined by demonstrated excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service. The department is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Neuromuscular section currently comprises 6 MDs, 4 APPs (2 Physician Assistants and 2 Genetic Counselors), and an ACGME neuromuscular fellow. Job duties will include clinical, teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with the allocation of time and effort determined by the Section Head. The Neuromuscular multidisciplinary clinic is a highly recognized regional referral center for an eleven-state area, serving ~3600 annual patient visits, ~2000 NCS/EMG studies, and ~200 muscle and nerve biopsies. The program is involved in over 60 active clinical trials and various research consortia.
