This posting is for an applicant pool for affiliate faculty in the Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver). These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions that vary from semester to semester based on program needs. Screening of applicants will occur when positions become available, and not all applicants in the pool will be contacted or selected to teach. The university, established in 1965, serves over 16,000 diverse students and is a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and the only Seal of Excelencia certified institution in Colorado. The Department of Social Work prepares undergraduate and graduate students to be skillful, ethical, justice-oriented, and effective social work practitioners. Faculty are teacher-scholars dedicated to supporting students and are experts in culturally responsive, relationally based practice. The department is committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist practices, aiming to dismantle systems of oppression. Priority is given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to serving underrepresented communities. Affiliate faculty will work with a Lead Faculty and participate in a content teaching team, typically teaching one to two courses per semester, with a maximum of three courses per semester.
