About The Position

Georgia Pines Community Service Board is seeking a leader for its Colquitt County Mental Health Outpatient program. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization in South Georgia. As a public, not-for-profit organization with an annual budget of $25M and 300 staff, we serve 6 rural counties. We are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based services in the least restrictive settings. The selected applicant will provide a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families, including conducting intakes, participating in treatment team planning, and performing crisis intervention. The role may also involve assisting with personal and social problems, providing supportive counseling, serving as a liaison for social services, and performing case management duties. This position is an integral part of the agency's Outpatient Mental Health program and reports directly to the Colquitt County Mental Health Team Lead, with latitude for seasoned judgment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social service-related position
Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field
One year at the lower level or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

Providing a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families.
Conducting patient/client/consumer intakes.
Participating in treatment team planning.
Performing crisis intervention.
Assisting in dealing with personal and social problems.
Providing supportive counseling to consumers and families.
Serving as a liaison for social services.
Performing case management duties.
