About The Position

Exciting new opportunity to start and to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization located in South Georgia. Georgia Pines Community Service Board is a public, not-for-profit organization with an annual budget of $25M and a diverse workforce of 300 direct-care and support staff. We provide services to 6 rural counties with several locations. We strive to provide the highest quality, evidence-based services in the least restrictive settings. Georgia Pines Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program is currently seeking someone who has the passion, commitment, talent, and ability to work collaboratively with their peers to continue to advance the mission and vision of the organization. The selected applicant will have the pleasure of providing a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families. In addition, with conducting patient/client/consumer intakes, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. Additionally, the applicant may assist in dealing with personal and social problems. Select applicant may provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services and perform case management duties. This position is an integral part of the agency's Assisted Outpatient Treatment program and reports directly to the Team Lead with appropriate latitude for utilizing seasoned judgment to accomplish his/her responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social service-related position OR Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field OR One year at the lower level or position equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be in current position for a minimum of 6 months with no disciplinary action (internal applicants).
  • Must have been employed in current position for a minimum of 1 year without disciplinary action if position is within current department (internal applicants).
  • Males between 18 and 26 years of age will be required to present proof of having registered with the Selective Services System as required by federal law or of being exempt from such registration.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families.
