The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child and Family Services Division. This position ensures qualified children are provided the opportunity to request and obtain Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Administration (SSA) benefits. Responsibilities include: 1) Serves as the non-attorney representative on behalf of SSI claimants at hearings before Administrative Law Judges; 2) Evaluates assessments of the child’s medical, social and developmental barriers to determine if the child appears to meet the Social Security disability criteria; and 3) Provides training and assistance to staff on a variety of topics related to program responsibilities.
