About The Position

The NeuroListening Lab in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin integrates neurophysiological, computational, and translational approaches to understand and remediate speech-processing challenges across the adult lifespan. Its research examines how aging, hearing loss, and cognition affect the neural mechanisms underlying speech perception, with the goal of supporting scalable diagnostics and interventions. This grant-funded, in-person position supports studies focused on the neural encoding of speech and listening effort and serves as project coordinator for two funded projects examining speech encoding in adults with and without hearing loss. The coordinator manages participant recruitment, scheduling, and data collection; supports daily laboratory operations and study progress; and works with the Principal Investigator, research team, and participants to maintain organized study operations, high-quality data collection, and a welcoming research experience. Funding is currently expected through December 31, 2028, and may be renewed depending on performance, progress toward research goals, and continued funding.
