About The Position

The Department of Radio-Television-Film at the Moody College of Communication is hiring an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for RTF 130P Talent Representation, a new course featuring weekly Q&As with talent representatives, including agents, managers, and entertainment lawyers. The position is based at UT Main Campus and is expected to continue until May 15, 2027. The role is scheduled for 10 hours per week, with a stated work shift of Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Working conditions include classrooms and offices, sometimes in a hybrid setting. Pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be a current student at UT-Austin.

Nice To Haves

• Ideally an RTF major or a Media & Entertainment Industries minor.
• Ideally a junior or senior.
• Interest in working as a talent representative.

Responsibilities

• Attend the weekly class session and take notes.
• Assist with guest speaker visits and coordinate before and after the visits.
• Hold office hours and respond to student questions related to the course.
• Help develop resources connected to class content on Canvas.
