About The Position
The Social Pod Leader is KEBM's entry-level direct clinical role. In California, this role delivers ABA services at the same scope as an RBT, running pods, implementing treatment plans, collecting clinical data, and executing behavior protocols. RBT certification is optional for scope in CA but unlocks a higher pay band. In Georgia, the role involves non-ABA programming and RBT-paired pod support, with RBT certification being required for insurance-funded ABA services. KEBM supports the RBT pathway by covering the 40-hour training and supervision hours, with a pay increase upon passing the exam. The company is a five-clinic ABA therapy company founded in 2016, serving clients with various diagnoses using the S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology. They emphasize clinical quality, client outcomes, and employee support, serving all clients regardless of funding source.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to stay calm and self-regulate in dynamic situations.
- Belief that open play and camp kids deserve the same energy as full-time ABA clients.
- Willingness to work within assigned staff ratios.
- Ability to collect accurate session data within a 24-hour turnaround.
- Commitment to never working as the sole clinical authority for a client.
- Willingness to grow into RBT certification.
- Ability to respond appropriately to elopement, aggression, and self-injury.
Nice To Haves
- RBT certification supported but not required in CA (required for full scope in GA).
- Prior experience working with children, especially neurodiverse children.
- Any ABA exposure (coursework, previous role, shadowing).
- RBT certification already in progress.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct ABA services in California clinics, including running pod sessions, implementing BCBA-authored treatment plans, collecting clinical data, and executing behavior protocols.
- Provide non-ABA programming and RBT-paired pod support in Georgia clinics.
- Collect accurate session data with a 24-hour turnaround time.
- Work collaboratively within assigned staff ratios, typically 1:3, up to 1:4 or 1:5 for lower-behavior clients, as determined by the Clinic Manager and clinical team.
- Ensure that a supervisor, BCBA, or Clinic Manager is always accessible when a situation exceeds the individual's scope or training.
- Participate in ongoing S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology training.
- Grow into RBT certification with KEBM covering the 40-hour training curriculum and supervision hours.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors such as aggression, elopement, and self-injury, with full training and supervisory backup.
