About The Position

This role is designed to address common burnout issues faced by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in ABA companies. Unlike traditional models, this position offers structural support through on-site supervision, readily available clinical support, and a clear career progression path within a 14-role pipeline. The company, KEBM, is a five-clinic ABA therapy provider founded in 2016 by a BCBA with extensive experience. They operate across Southern California and Georgia, employing over 68 professionals who utilize a proprietary S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology. KEBM emphasizes evidence-based therapy, a play-like therapeutic environment through their Sensory Spot locations, and serves a diverse client base including insurance-funded, private pay, open play, and camp families. They are committed to clinical quality and employee well-being, being a women-founded and minority-owned business. The S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. model is a group ABA therapy approach where 3-6 clients with varied diagnoses are grouped by age, skill level, and goals. The facilitator-to-client ratio is 1:3 within the pod, with a supervisor always on-site providing real-time coaching and support. Therapy is delivered through a push-in/pull-out model, combining group work with 1:1 intensive instruction when needed. BCBAs and Program Supervisors provide ongoing clinical oversight and support, ensuring RBTs are never working alone. KEBM serves all clients equally, regardless of funding source or program type, fostering an inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Hold RBT certification or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Read data before acting on intuition and understand the difference between clinicians and implementers.
• Desire a Lead RBT or Program Supervisor Trainee role and see KEBM's pipeline as the path to achieve it.
• Believe in the 'never alone' support structure.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of ABA experience in a clinical or in-home setting.
• BCaBA pathway progress (graduate coursework, supervised hours accumulating).
• Bilingual (Spanish).
• Crisis intervention training (CPI, Safety Care, PCM).

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA programs across clinic, home, and community settings.
• Deliver group therapy within S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S., managing group dynamics while individualizing across 3 learners at a 1:3 ratio, with clinical support always available.
• Collect accurate data and analyze progress toward individual client goals, identifying trends and flagging observations for the BCBA.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, Program Supervisors, and fellow pod members as part of a clinical team.
• Support open play and camp programming, demonstrating the same commitment to camp clients as to insurance clients.
• Adjust interventions based on real-time response, utilizing autonomy within the clinical plan.
