About The Position

UnitedHealth Group is a health care and well-being company dedicated to improving health outcomes globally. The company is comprised of UnitedHealthcare and Optum. They are seeking a Social Media Specialist to support their enterprise Social Media team in executing their social media program, including content concepting and paid social support. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., with specific requirements for those in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. areas to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in social media, content strategy, or digital marketing
  • Paid social experience, boosting content across multiple platforms to key audiences
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, FDA guidelines, FTC advertising standards)
  • Proficiency with social media tools, analytics platforms, and content creation
  • Proven solid storytelling skills; ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging content
  • Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain social content calendars aligned with business priorities and communications framework.
  • Coordinate with Insights & Intelligence and Community & Listening to inform content opportunities that ladder up to our communications framework.
  • Curate opportunities for content based on social media listening, trendspotting and user generated content.
  • In partnership with design and agency partners, create content right sized for social media platforms and key audiences.
  • Coordinate SME reviews and approvals.
  • Attend content sharing meetings for the enterprise and share plans as appropriate.
  • Manage day-to-day publishing and scheduling across social media accounts.
  • Boost content to key audiences and optimize as appropriate.
  • Support paid budget management.
  • Attend regular meetings with channel partners and provide summaries to the team on opportunities for testing.
  • Measure performance of content against KPIs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness.
  • Support reporting for leadership and campaign reviews.
