About The Position

The Social Media Specialist executes key functions to support our growing digital footprint and owned brands. Responsibilities for this position include content generation, social growth planning, data analysis, marketing program management, agency relationship management, and execution for owned brand social channels to support, enhance, and drive relevance. Expertise in photography and video creation and editing is critical to this role.

Requirements

  • Energetic and passionate about their role in the branding process.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific trends, algorithms, and formats (especially Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok).
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and ability to adapt tone by brand and audience.
  • Must possess fluency in English and an understanding of correct grammar usage.
  • Solid understanding of analytics tools (Meta Insights, Sprout Social, Later, etc.).
  • Photography and video creation / editing.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and MAC or PC.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, helping and supporting team members.
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of people from various parts of the business.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Courage, passion, and power of imagination.
  • Curiosity to ask questions with the skill and patience to be a good listener.
  • 3+ years of experience working in social media platforms.
  • 3-5 years of social media content creation and strategy experience, ideally in-house or agency-side for enthusiast brands.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, and community managers.
  • Proven photography and video production/editing skills using DSLR/mirrorless cameras and tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in industry related to retail marketing, racing, media and related.
  • Experience in product photography and video for websites, ecommerce, social and catalogs.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, a plus.
  • Experience with apps like Canva, Loomly, Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
  • Social Advertising/Paid Media, a HUGE plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and brand teams to develop breakthrough social media programs that support seasonal campaigns, product launches, events, and other brand initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the monthly social media calendar based on objectives and strategies set forth by the marketing organization.
  • Create original, innovative, high-quality visual and written content to ensure optimized presence on social media platforms, which currently include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Maintain responsibility and execution for delivering KPI’s through paid, earned, and owned social initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing social media reporting and insights that will enable the refinement of social media strategy and tactics, as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on emerging digital trends, best practices, and new social features and leverage these findings into the development and execution of new ideas and innovations.
  • Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices, leapfrog initiatives, and improve the overall social media strategy.
  • Write unique brand copy for social and paid media as needed.
  • Build relationships with select digital influencers, working with PR to integrate programs for bloggers and digital influencers.
  • Source brand marketing assets for digital channels, optimizing based on digital trends and consumer insights.
  • Ensure all communication meets brand and legal guidelines, standards, and tone.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.
