About The Position

NewsNation is seeking a social media producer passionate about news and digital storytelling. The role involves creating stories that resonate with audiences across social platforms and YouTube. The position is in-office at the Chicago location, and early morning, late night, and/or weekend shifts may be required.

Requirements

Experience creating social content, from graphics to video, for large brands or media outlets.
Strong writing skills and ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
Good editorial judgment in content selection and adaptation for different platforms.
Ability to quickly edit video and photos in high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of data and analytics and demonstrated ability to use data to make decisions.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Expertise with YouTube, including thumbnail and title best practices.
Experience using Adobe Suite, including Premiere and Photoshop.
Journalism or news background.
Experience producing for or directing on-camera talent.

Responsibilities

Pitch, develop, and produce social media content.
Manage NewsNation's YouTube channel and social channels, reaching millions of followers.
Develop multimedia storytelling in collaboration with editors, writers, and reporters.
Use analytics to evaluate content performance and recommend improvements to tactics.
Use AI and emerging technologies to produce content and engage with audiences.
Stay current on trends and emerging stories and share them with the larger team.
Train staff members on social media best practices, social tools, and other tactics.
