About The Position

House of Dank is seeking a creative, hands-on Social Media, Marketing & Event Coordinator for their Corporate location in Madison Heights, MI. This role will manage and grow the brand's social media presence, support marketing campaigns and promotions, and assist in planning and executing store events and vendor activations. The coordinator will bridge the gap between marketing, design, buying, and store teams to ensure content, promotions, and events are accurate, timely, and on-brand.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Two or more years of experience in social media, marketing coordination, retail marketing, or events preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, content trends, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills; Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with occasional evening/weekend/holiday availability for events.

Nice To Haves

  • Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and other approved platforms.
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns, promotions, and events.
  • Write captions, promotional copy, Stories, Reels, and event announcements in the House of Dank brand voice.
  • Create or coordinate short-form video, photography, and graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and approved tools.
  • Monitor comments, messages, reviews, and mentions; respond promptly or route to the right department.
  • Keep social content accurate by confirming current menu images, deals, and store details before publishing.
  • Coordinate day-to-day marketing campaigns and act as a point of contact across marketing, buying, and store teams.
  • Manage the Monday.com marketing board so requests move through intake, approval, and completion.
  • Help plan and execute store events, vendor days, grand openings, and sponsorship activations.
  • Attend selected events to capture live content, support setup/teardown, and supervise brand presentation.
  • Coordinate influencer outreach, content requirements, and posting schedules.
  • Track social media growth, engagement, and campaign performance, and prepare regular reports.
