About The Position

We're looking for someone who is already deeply embedded in gaming culture — the person who catches a trending gaming moment at 9am and has a post live by noon. This is not a role for someone who thinks in quarterly content calendars. We post when something is worth saying, and we move fast. You'll own Wand's branded social presence across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. You'll be the creative force behind how millions of gamers discover what Wand can do — not through feature announcements, but through content that makes them stop scrolling. This is a growth role with real trajectory: as our social presence scales, so does your scope. This role is right for you if you already follow gaming discourse, have opinions on what's working in gaming content, and can turn a cultural moment into a post before someone else does.

Requirements

  • Enough experience to own a social presence independently — you've built or grown accounts before, you don't need to be taught what good content looks like, and you're hungry to do more than manage a posting schedule
  • A portfolio that proves you can create — video, graphics, memes, written posts — not just manage or coordinate
  • Native fluency in gaming internet culture. You play games. You follow gaming discourse. You have opinions.
  • Proven track record of growing accounts and building engaged communities from scratch or near-zero
  • Platform fluency across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube — you understand why content works differently on each
  • Data-driven mindset: you know how to read performance data and change strategy based on it
  • Experience managing freelancers or agencies for content production

Nice To Haves

  • Background in community management on Discord or Reddit
  • Startup or growth-stage experience — comfortable building from scratch
  • Understanding of paid social amplification and boosting strategies
  • Familiarity with gaming content creation tools and capture workflows

Responsibilities

  • Own Wand's social presence across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube — setting the tone, voice, and creative direction
  • Create original content: short-form video, memes, graphics, reactive posts — whatever the moment calls for
  • Develop content series that showcase Wand's features (interactive maps, game assists, video clipping, contextual guidance) in ways that entertain first, educate second
  • Stay ahead of gaming trends and cultural moments — and act on them fast
  • Manage relationships with video production partners to brief and quality-check longer-form content
  • Grow Wand's social following with a bias toward engaged community over vanity metrics
  • Build community through authentic engagement — responding, participating in gaming conversations, not just broadcasting
  • Identify UGC opportunities and creator content worth amplifying
  • Extend Wand's presence into gaming communities and cultural conversations beyond owned channels
  • Partner with Influencer Marketing to amplify creator partnerships across social
  • Work with Performance Marketing to develop social-first concepts for paid campaigns
  • Collaborate with Product to turn feature moments into community conversation starters
  • Coordinate with Design on visual assets while maintaining a strong, consistent brand voice
  • Track performance across platforms with focus on engagement, reach, saves, and shares — not just follower count
  • Use data to iterate quickly on what's working and kill what isn't
  • Provide regular, concise reporting on channel growth and content effectiveness
