At MMGY we inspire people to go places. MMGY has an opening for a Social Media Manager in our Denver, Colorado office. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to join the social media department and be responsible for the day-to-day management of social media communities and implementing comprehensive social strategies for a variety of assigned accounts. The Social Manager is actively involved in developing social content, community management, client relations, content strategy and social media reporting.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of social media management experience
  • Four-year degree in marketing, communications, public relations or similar field preferred
  • No “task is too small” attitude with the desire to collaborate across teams - from ideation to creation
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to align and collaborate cross-functionally
  • A highly organized doer with an exceptional ability to multitask, who will take initiative and execute
  • Ability to cultivate genuine long-term relationships
  • Must enjoy creative writing and find concise and clear ways to share key messages
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to draw smart conclusions from data
  • Robust understanding of social media platforms, analytics and social media marketing tools
  • Must have strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both externally with clients & internally with peers
  • Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced & deadline-driven environment
  • Imagination to develop social-first campaign strategies & promotions that will resonate with target audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple projects for several clients simultaneously, while maintaining quality of work
  • Must have recent experience managing social media communities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint or similar tools
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the proper social media “voice” and “tone”
  • Understand all forms of social media interactions (blogs, forums, communities, etc…)
  • Knowledge of social media marketing tools
  • Must possess a very high attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Prior advertising agency experience is preferred
  • Travel industry experience or knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Understand the client's business goals, as well as the client's individual needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Work with project team and client(s) to execute social media programming
  • Ensure client satisfaction and that work produced meets quality standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in social media, paid social, creative services and public relations to develop dynamic campaigns that drive business performance for our clients
  • Demonstrate a high level of savvy and thoughtfulness with clients
  • Audit social media content to ensure posts are consistent with best practices and brand messaging
  • Stay on top of industry trends & social media advancements
  • Assist in the development of content for a variety of social channels including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube & Pinterest
  • Assist with day-to-day client communication
  • Lead the development of monthly social media reporting for clients that include an analysis of current social activity and future marketing recommendations based on trend data
  • Utilize social listening tools, such as NetBase Quid, to generate insights
  • Utilize project management procedures to streamline projects
  • Ensure adhesion to strategic direction
  • Thoroughly edits and provides feedback on social media content
  • Review user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
  • Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience
