About The Position

This role is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of SwimOutlet's organic social presence and the production of social and paid social creative. The position requires a hands-on "maker" who can shoot and edit video, produce UGC, create motion graphics and static designs, and develop content that resonates with the swim world and drives product sales. The role involves managing the ambassador program, community engagement, and collaborating with the CMO on the paid content pipeline. Internal design and digital media support, along with a freelance budget, will be available to extend capacity, but the ultimate output remains the responsibility of the Social Media Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to produce content independently, including shooting, editing, motion graphics, and static design to a standard suitable for paid spend.
  • Comfortable producing content on location, including pool decks and events.
  • Proficiency in production tools such as Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, Figma, or Canva.
  • Experience owning organic social for a consumer brand or retailer end-to-end.
  • Demonstrable paid social creative experience with a track record of commercial performance.
  • Experience running an ambassador, creator, or influencer program with accountability for output.
  • Strong community management judgment, including knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Comfort with performance data and understanding key metrics like hook rate.
  • Genuine knowledge of the swim, aquatics, or endurance sport world, or a credible path to acquiring it.

Responsibilities

  • Produce social and paid social creative across short-form video, UGC, motion graphics, and statics.
  • Shoot and edit video content on demand and on location, including pool decks and events.
  • Produce a consistent pipeline of testable creative for Meta and other paid social channels.
  • Direct and produce UGC through the ambassador roster and creator network.
  • Publish and schedule content across social channels.
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats and placements.
  • Utilize internal designers, the digital media team, and external freelancers to extend creative capacity.
  • Leverage AI tools for content production tasks such as ideation, scripting, editing, and generation.
  • Own the organic social presence for SwimOutlet and Sporti across prioritized channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of branded social channels within the first 60 days and provide recommendations.
  • Operate social channels to a high standard, including planning, production, publishing, community management, and performance tracking.
  • Lead creative ideation and testing for paid social, including hooks, angles, copy, and formats.
  • Review paid creative performance weekly with the CMO and determine production priorities.
  • Own creative-side performance analysis, including CTR, CPM, thumbstop rate, hook rate, hold rate, engagement rate, and outbound CTR.
  • Translate performance analysis into actionable insights for optimizing angles and formats.
  • Run the ambassador program as a measurable channel, including UGC and influencer sourcing.
  • Recruit, brief, track output, and evaluate ROI for each ambassador, refining the roster for high-value partners.
  • Manage community engagement across DMs, comments, and tagged content.
  • Escalate sensitive PR, CX, or legal issues with sound judgment.
  • Ensure social content reflects business priorities by staying informed of inputs from buying and planning teams.
  • Surface priority products, launches, and promotional moments in marketing meetings.
  • Present weekly performance reports on organic social metrics (followers, reach, engagement rate, content standouts).
  • Identify successful organic content and apply it to paid social strategies.
  • Stay current on platform changes and trends across TikTok, Reels, Threads, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify content trends and styles outside the swimming world to leverage broader DTC industry insights.
  • Monitor competitors and category trends in swim and adjacent DTC markets.
  • Act as the in-house expert on current social media trends and best practices.
  • Steward the SwimOutlet voice and tone across organic, paid social, and community interactions.
  • Maintain a lightweight voice reference guide for consistency as output scales.
  • Manage Tolstoy shoppable video for on-site and retention purposes.
