•$28 - $32•Remote

About The Position

Club Athletic is hiring a freelance, part-time Social Media Manager to run its Instagram and TikTok channels day to day. The role turns photos and video supplied by the in-house content producer, coaches, and members into a consistent, on-brand social presence and an attentive community. The Director of Marketing sets the monthly editorial calendar. The work includes publishing and scheduling posts and reels across the main and Chicago accounts, editing short-form video, managing daily stories and community interactions, coordinating and organizing content assets, reporting weekly organic performance, and contributing relevant trends and formats to monthly planning. The role is remote, with weekday and weekend coverage windows and some required overlap with Eastern Time. Candidates based in Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, or Boston will be prioritized. Occasional in-person content capture at events or clubs may be needed for candidates local to current or upcoming markets.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years managing social media for a brand; fitness, wellness, hospitality, or lifestyle experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Canva and CapCut, including the ability to turn raw clips into polished, on-trend reels quickly.
  • Strong, concise writing and the ability to match an established brand voice.
  • A native feel for Instagram and TikTok formats, trends, and community norms.
  • Experience with a scheduling tool.
  • Reliable, organized work habits and consistent daily coverage.

  • Reply to comments and direct messages every day, answer prospective-member questions, and guide interested people toward booking a call.
  • Request and organize assets from the content producer, coaches, and club teams, and keep the content library organized.
  • Bring weekly organic performance to the creative performance review and suggest what to do more or less of.
  • Share relevant trends and formats as input to monthly planning.
  • Occasionally capture content in person at events or clubs if local to a current or upcoming market.
