About The Position

As a Social Media Manager at vCluster, you aren't just scheduling posts—you are building the technical voice of one of the most interesting infrastructure companies in the cloud-native ecosystem. You will own the full social program across LinkedIn and X, turn the thinking of our leaders into content the Kubernetes community actually wants to read, and show up live at the events that matter most to our audience.

Requirements

• Infrastructure literacy: understanding the landscape well enough to write credibly for DevOps and platform teams.
• Platform mastery: having an opinionated view on how to win on LinkedIn and X, with experience scaling developer-centric or highly technical social accounts.
• Calendar discipline: operating with a clear structural framework and owning a structured content calendar with a two-week safety buffer.
• Speed and judgment: balancing high-velocity output with corporate judgment to capitalize on trends or ensure message alignment.
• Analytical rigor: measuring social success by its ability to spark genuine community conversation, traffic, and distribution momentum.

Nice To Haves

• Background managing social channels for developer tools, open-source ecosystems, or AI/MLOps infrastructure.
• Direct experience translating deep technical expertise from executives into compelling, human narratives.
• Basic video clip selection and editing skills.
• Comfort being on-the-ground at massive industry events, executing a live social playbook entirely independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write, and publish weekly posts on LinkedIn and X, staying two weeks ahead at all times.
• Turn the deep architectural insights of our leadership team into high-impact published content and thought leadership.
• Respond thoughtfully to comments, DMs, and mentions on both platforms, engaging with practitioners, contributors, and platform engineering leaders.
• Capture attention by distributing content quickly when major events occur in the cloud-native and AI infra world.
• Cover priority global events (such as KubeCon and key AI Infra summits) in real time, delivering live threads on X, daily LinkedIn updates, and post-event structural recaps.
• Act as the standard-bearer for brand voice, pushing back on subpar content, and proposing higher-impact alternatives.
