About The Position

Jerry is seeking a Reddit Social Media Manager to lead its presence on Reddit and build genuine authority in communities discussing automotive, financial, and consumer topics. The role includes managing Jerry’s official presence and brand-owned subreddits, establishing an authentic community voice, and creating informative posts and guides tailored to individual subreddit cultures. The manager will respond transparently to discussions about Jerry, track community and referral metrics, consider Reddit’s influence on search and LLM citations, and relay community insights and emerging customer concerns to Product and Content teams.

Requirements

Deep understanding of Reddit, including karma, subreddit dynamics, automods, shadowbans, and unwritten platform norms.
At least 2 years managing organic social media or community strategy, with a heavy emphasis on Reddit; a demonstrated track record growing other types of social accounts is also mentioned.
Ability to write naturally for Redditors and avoid corporate-speak.
Understanding that long-term trust and educational posts build more brand equity than quick conversion pushes.
Understanding of how Reddit content feeds into Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO, including how to structure posts as lasting resources.
Ability to handle public pushback, skepticism, and tough questions with empathy, humor, and honesty.

Responsibilities

Own Jerry’s official presence across Reddit, including brand-owned subreddits and organic engagement in broader automotive, financial, and consumer communities.
Establish Jerry’s Reddit voice and determine when to provide technical advice, use humor or memes, or listen without interrupting discussions.
Create informative text posts, deep-dive guides, and visual breakdowns about car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance, tailored to subreddit cultures.
Respond to threads discussing Jerry with transparent, helpful responses and manage reputation and crises.
Track Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, and Reddit’s influence on search indexability and LLM citations.
Share organic Reddit insights, emerging car-owner pain points, and trending topics with Product and Content teams.
