Wellesley College is recruiting a social media manager to oversee the College’s social media presence as a member of the storytelling team in the Communications and Public Affairs office. This role blends strategy, hands-on content creation—with a focus on short-form video and visual storytelling—editorial judgement, and analytics. Working with the director of editorial and social media, the senior writer, and a team of student storytellers, the social media manager will oversee the College’s social channels and help develop platform-specific stories that reflect the College’s voice, brand, and institutional priorities. The role helps connect the College with prospective students, current students, alumnae, faculty, and community members. The role will also collaborate with colleagues in the Wellesley College Alumnae Association and Wellesley magazine to provide support for their social presence. The person in this role will monitor engagement and conversation on the College’s platforms, and respond to comments and questions as needed. They will report regularly on social media analytics, help identify industry trends, and maintain and coordinate the social media editorial calendar. They will make sure that social content is accessibility compliant. This position reports to the director of editorial and social media.
