About The Position

Spellbook is seeking its first-ever Social Media Lead to establish and grow the company's social media presence from the ground up. This role involves developing the brand's voice, content calendar, and overall social strategy. The Social Media Lead will have complete ownership of this function, collaborating closely with the Marketing team and executive leadership to translate the company's innovations and product releases into compelling social media narratives. This is a unique opportunity to define a brand's social identity from its inception.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of growing a brand's organic social reach and engagement, with quantifiable results.
  • Experience managing social media for a B2B SaaS company, with the ability to make technical products engaging on social platforms.
  • Ability to independently manage a social media calendar, from quarterly strategy to daily content creation and publishing.
  • A blend of strategic thinking and operational execution, capable of both long-term planning and same-day content turnaround.
  • A strong understanding of what drives content virality and engagement, beyond aesthetic appeal.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone across different platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, native platform analytics) and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

  • Experience in legal tech or another B2B industry that is compliance-heavy and trust-driven.
  • Experience establishing a social media function as the first hire in a company.
  • Demonstrated success in growing a personal or side social media account, showcasing experimentation, iteration, and organic audience growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own Spellbook's social media calendar end-to-end across all platforms, managing the process from ideation to scheduling and publishing.
  • Develop and execute a content strategy that balances consistent daily content with a longer-term plan aligned with company milestones, product launches, and business objectives.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, mentions, and direct messages in a timely and brand-consistent manner, fostering a two-way conversation.
  • Cultivate relationships within the legal tech community, with customers, and with relevant creators and journalists to expand reach.
  • Define and maintain Spellbook's voice and visual identity across all social channels, ensuring consistency with the overall brand.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and executive teams to transform company news, product updates, and thought leadership into shareable content, including ghostwriting and editorial support for executive posts.
  • Develop a social strategy focused on driving reach and engagement, identifying and capitalizing on trends, cultural moments, and platform dynamics.
  • Track performance against key metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, and share of voice, using data to refine the strategy.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
