About The Position

We're looking for passionate individuals who love food and social media to join our social content creation team at Stop & Shop. As part of the in-house creative team, the Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for conceptualizing and producing innovative, strategically driven content for organic and paid social media, with a strong emphasis on growing our organic channels. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in food, a passion for social media, a keen understanding of current trends and platform-specific content creation (like TikTok and Instagram), and the ability to build and engage an audience. You will use your proven talent, demonstrated through a portfolio or social media handles, and strategic thinking to communicate our brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking manner across all social platforms, supporting content development and execution.

Requirements

  • BA in Graphic Design, Photography, Media, Communications, or similar degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven talent demonstrated through an online portfolio and/or links to social media accounts showcasing relevant content (videos, Instagram story frames, carousels, reels, TikToks capitalizing on trends).
  • 2-5 years of related work experience.
  • Mastery of social media platforms, including understanding algorithms and hashtag strategies for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Skilled at photography and video using an iPhone.
  • Skilled at video editing.
  • Sincere interest in content creation and food.
  • Intelligent thinking, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Local travel required.
  • Requirement to work in the Quincy, MA office at least 3 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Your own following on social media is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Concept social-first content strategies in partnership with the Social Content Creative Manager.
  • Write copy for social media assets.
  • Assist in the production of content, including shooting in-store video, making video edits, and recording voiceovers.
  • Develop breakthrough content that communicates the brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking, platform-specific way, adhering to brand strategy, visual guidelines, and tone of voice.
  • Stay current with social media trends (viral products, editing styles, content types) and develop unique takes on these trends to engage the audience and drive sales.
  • Be comfortable being on camera to represent Stop & Shop authentically.
  • Execute specific requests based on monthly, weekly, and daily briefs within a dynamic business and social media landscape.
  • Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, producers, photographers, digital channel stakeholders, brand strategy, and project management to meet project objectives, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Understand business needs and marketing requirements to create strong, branded assets and content relevant to each channel.
  • Receive and adapt creative work based on constructive feedback in a timely manner.
