About The Position

Fora is seeking a Social Media Associate to join their brand team. This role is for a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy individual who actively engages with trends. The associate will be the daily voice of the brand, managing content across platforms and supporting strategies to enhance Fora's presence and empower its advisor community. This position is crucial for supporting the operational and community management needs of the social team. The role reports to the Senior Social Media Manager and involves collaboration with content, editorial, production, partnerships, and external agency teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, culturally aware, passionate about travel, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, aiming to make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-time experience managing social media for a brand or agency, with direct ownership of publishing and community management.
  • Demonstrated experience creating short-form video and visual content, supported by a portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency with social scheduling and analytics tools such as Dash Social, and experience using Airtable or similar project management platforms.
  • Strong skills in content creation, basic graphic design, video editing, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience managing community engagement across multiple social platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Clear and proactive communication skills, with comfort collaborating across teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work in the United States and be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work periodic weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end social content calendar for @ForaTravel and @ForaCommunity, including planning, scheduling, publishing, and optimization across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Adapt brand campaigns and editorial content into platform-specific executions that align with channel best practices and overall brand strategy.
  • Handle daily community engagement, including responding to direct messages and comments, interacting with advisor content, participating in relevant cultural moments, and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Ideate, capture, edit, and publish short-form video and visual content using tools like Canva, Figma, CapCut, Adobe, and other creative platforms.
  • Collaborate with designers, editors, production teams, and external partners to execute social-first concepts.
  • Support cross-functional alignment by working with content, PR, partnerships, and production teams to ensure social initiatives align with broader company goals.
  • Maintain organized workflows in tools such as Airtable and Dash Social, ensuring clear processes, attention to detail, and consistent execution.
  • Participate in content capture on location as needed, which may include occasional travel and weekend coverage for real-time events or timely content opportunities.
  • Contribute to advisor education by supporting social media trainings and office hours focused on best practices and platform updates.
