About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Social Media, the Social Media Associate will support the day-to-day execution of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts' social media strategy through content development, publishing, community engagement, and campaign support. This role will help grow audiences, deepen engagement, and amplify Lincoln Center's mission and impact. This is a hybrid role with time split between remote and on-site work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media, communications, or a related field, preferably within a complex, fast-paced organization.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and Threads.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft engaging social media copy tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva.
  • A self-starter who also thrives in team environments and is comfortable with collaboration and proactive communication.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, adaptability, and flexibility in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong visual instincts and an eye for compelling social media content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the performing arts and contemporary pop culture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating or editing short-form video content using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Instagram Reels, or TikTok is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, schedule, and publish social posts across Lincoln Center's social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and Threads.
  • Create and post Instagram Stories to support performances across the Lincoln Center campus.
  • Support the creation of short-form video, graphics, and other custom social content.
  • Actively participate in brainstorms and planning for social media campaigns and content.
  • Research platform-specific strategies, trends, and audience behaviors to inform strategy and planning.
  • Monitor comments, messages, tags, and mentions; respond when appropriate and escalate questions or sensitive issues to the right internal partners.
  • Support live event coverage, content shoots, and on-site social media activations as needed.
  • Pull social performance metrics and assist with recurring reports, campaign recaps, and internal updates.
  • Support influencer and creator campaigns by assisting with research, outreach, list maintenance, deliverable tracking, and asset organization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization and campus, as well as external partners.
