About The Position

As the Social Media Assistant, you will support our Social Media Team in creating compelling content and growing Shabby Fabrics’ presence across multiple platforms. This role combines creativity, communication, and customer service to help our brand voice shine through every post and interaction. You’ll help create visuals, write posts, and engage with our community while staying current with trends and monitoring performance insights to help content resonate with our audience. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience creating social media content, including photos, videos, short-form video, and captions.
  • Experience with social media analytics and insights reporting.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an approachable and friendly manner.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills for real-time responses.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the ability to also work independently.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva for graphic design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating compelling visual and written content.
  • Support the planning and execution social media campaigns and digital marketing initiatives to grow our online presence.
  • Thoughtfully engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a friendly, professional tone that reflects our brand voice.
  • Stay current on social media trends, best practices, and emerging tools.
  • Monitor and report on analytics and performance insights to help inform future content.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop fresh campaign and content ideas.
  • Support other departments as needed when workload allows.
