About The Position

NetPlanner Systems is seeking an entry-level Social Media and Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team throughout the summer (up to 20 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and overall marketing operations within a dynamic business environment.

Requirements

  • Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends (especially LinkedIn).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing a social media content plan.
  • Create engaging posts (graphics, captions, short-form video ideas) across platforms such as LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Monitor engagement, track performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Research trends and help identify new opportunities to grow our online presence.
  • Assist with website updates, content management, and basic SEO improvements.
  • Support trade show and event coordination (pre-event promotions, logistics, and follow-up).
  • Help maintain and organize promotional item inventory.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, email communications, and internal initiatives.
  • Conduct market and competitor research.
  • Assist with brand consistency across materials.
  • Support development of marketing collateral (flyers, presentations, digital assets).
  • Help gather and organize customer testimonials or case studies.
  • Perform general administrative support for the marketing team as needed.
