About The Position

This role supports a growing Australian hospitality business across social media, digital marketing, reservations, guest communication, and general administration. The position is approximately 50% social media and content creation, and 50% reservations and administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and enjoys a varied role with opportunities for growth and contribution.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Professional social media experience, with a strong understanding of Instagram, particularly Reels and Stories.
  • Video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Canva skills and experience creating engaging visual content.
  • Experience using Meta Business Suite.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong spreadsheet and general computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hotels, tourism, Booking.com, property management systems, Mailchimp, WordPress, or endurance sports brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the social media content calendar.
  • Create and schedule Instagram posts, Reels, and Stories.
  • Edit video footage into short-form content.
  • Write captions consistent with the brand.
  • Create graphics and marketing collateral in Canva.
  • Promote accommodation, experiences, athlete camps, and special events.
  • Manage and respond to social media comments and messages.
  • Identify opportunities for new content.
  • Repurpose existing content across channels.
  • Assist with email marketing through Mailchimp.
  • Perform basic website/WordPress updates.
  • Monitor social media performance and provide monthly reports.
  • Turn supplied photos and raw video into polished content.
  • Respond to accommodation enquiries.
  • Manage and update reservations on Booking.com and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
  • Handle guest pre-arrival and post-stay communication.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare and send invoices.
  • Maintain guest records and databases.
  • Respond to and manage online reviews.
  • Assist with group, corporate, and athlete-camp enquiries.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and internal records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the management team.
