About The Position

College Living Experience (CLE) is a comprehensive post-secondary transition program supporting young adults with autism, AD/HD, and learning differences as they prepare for independent adulthood. Students receive individualized support in social development, academics, career preparation, and independent living. The Social Coordinator plays a key leadership role by overseeing social skills programming, supervising social coaches, and providing direct social skills instruction to students. This role blends program coordination, staff supervision, and hands-on student engagement in both individual and group settings. This role combines creativity, supervision, and direct student support. One day, you may be coordinating social events, supervising social coaches, or leading a group of students on a hiking trip or community outing. On another day, you might be providing direct coaching, collaborating with colleagues across departments, or meeting with families to review student progress. Your work directly shapes the social experience and community culture for students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, social services, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with autism or related disabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license with at least one year of licensed driving experience
  • Ability to meet company motor vehicle insurance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supervising staff or leading programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate social skills programming and lead a team of Social Coaches
  • Interview, hire, supervise, and assign caseloads to Social Coaches
  • Develop and oversee group curricula and social skills programming
  • Maintain relationships with graduate programs for externship opportunities
  • Provide individual and group social skills instruction across settings including student apartments, community locations, CLE offices, and workplaces
  • Engage students in planning and executing social events based on interests
  • Serve as a role model for effective communication, problem-solving, and professionalism
  • Collaborate with ILS, Career Development, and Academic teams to align social goals
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and progress
  • Prepare and present social skills progress reports for students and families
  • Participate in team meetings and facilitate social goal setting
