About The Position

A social marketing specialist is highly organized with a relentless mission to grow meaningful social media engagement for our brands in the pet industry. This person conducts collaborator discovery and manages influencer relationships with ease, drafts accurate deal terms with minimal oversight, and curates content calendars for PetSafe, SportDOG, Premier Pet, and Kurgo brands. This role is highly collaborative within the organic social media team and across the organization, working closely with all marketing functions including brand and digital marketing teams. In this role, the candidate manages day-to-day campaign efforts, paid boosting execution and budgets while contributing to launch strategy planning and results reporting. This person juggles multiple tasks while working on a variety of brands in a pet-centric business requiring hands-on management, strong communication skills and a love for the industry. Strong writing skills and work ethic are a must! This person is creative and fluent in digital marketing best practices including viral social media trends, influencer and ambassador marketing tactics, display and email marketing. You are a storyteller who caters to your audience, and you love the challenge of creating new content from ideation to completion. You should have an intimate understanding of the impact content can have on the customer acquisition and sales process. You will thrive if you are up to date on the latest social media strategies and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and write. You will be managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines so project management skills are a must.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, and/or Editorial Content
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or business related
  • Experience in Ecommerce and working in a cross-functional organization with a global mindset
  • Experience with audience segmentation and targeting
  • Understanding of Ecommerce platforms and third-party digital marketing applications
  • Experience with analytics and KPls related to content marketing, not limited to social media
  • Firsthand experience in Content Marketing, which includes Social Media, User Generated Content, Influencer Marketing
  • A natural curiosity and know how to ask the right questions to understand new topics.
  • Express yourself and your ideas in a simple, straightforward way
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment, are comfortable with change, feedback and uncertainty

Responsibilities

  • Create, curate, and manage content including digital assets, social media posts, video, and more for the PetSafe, SportDOG, Premier Pet, and Kurgo brands.
  • Grow and engage online community by interacting with followers in the comments.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Content Calendar that builds on key themes of our go-to-market strategy for new products, marketing campaigns, and moments to connect with key audiences and build our brands.
  • Support and drive digital marketing efforts to meet goals for increased awareness, traffic growth, lead generation and sales.
  • Discover, manage and grow influencer relationships for the PetSafe, SportDOG, Premier Pet, and Kurgo brands.
  • Create, test, iterate, and distribute engaging digital content across a range of channels, including but not limited to email, landing pages, assets for partner websites, and native advertising content.
  • Integrate trends, category data, and campaign reports to identify insights that can improve our content strategy and execution.
  • Structure and report on content analytics and metrics by marketing funnel stage that map back to business goals.
  • Manage partnership(s) with internal and external agencies, freelancers, and more that support the execution of the content strategy.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care who handle the moderation for all Social Media touchpoints, developing best practices.
  • Partner with the Customer Insights team to further develop the approach to Social Listening and how the insights can be used broadly across the business.
