About The Position

As a social content specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Canadians experience Best Buy across social platforms—bringing the brand to life through creative storytelling, data-driven insights, and authentic community interactions. You’ll collaborate with marketing, business teams, and external partners to deliver impactful, platform-first content that strengthens brand relevance and trust. From producing engaging video content to optimizing performance across channels, your work will directly influence how customers discover, interact with, and feel about the Best Buy brand. In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media marketing, including organic and paid channels
  • Experience with social media advertising platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr or similar platforms)
  • Strong content creation skills, including video production and editing for social platforms
  • Comfortable being on camera or appearing in video content when needed
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute a dynamic social media content calendar across key platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Create, publish, and optimize engaging social content tailored to each platform, including short- and long-form video
  • Monitor social media performance, analyze key metrics, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Conduct social listening and stay on top of trends to inform content strategy and identify opportunities
  • Engage with online communities through proactive interaction, ensuring a consistent and customer-focused brand voice
  • Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and creators to deliver cohesive campaigns and content experiences
  • Support national marketing campaigns through content execution, coordination, and performance tracking
  • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, sharing timelines, updates, and insights to drive alignment
