About The Position

The Soccer Official enforces i9 Sports rules while cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. The role affects players, coaches, and spectators on game days. Officials help create a fun, safe, and educational youth sports experience by demonstrating sportsmanship, providing age-appropriate instruction, and delivering strong customer service.

The position requires weekend work throughout the season, which lasts approximately seven weeks. Listed season dates are Oct 24–Dec 5, Jan 23–Mar 6, Apr–June, and July–Sept. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

• Understand and enforce the i9 Sports rule books to promote fun, learning, and safety for all players.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Keep time and score during games.
• Manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
