About The Position

Lead fun, engaging, age-appropriate soccer classes for students aged 5–10 at after-school programs across multiple Bay Area locations. Classes have approximately 8–10 students and use provided lesson plans. Instructors help create a positive, engaging learning environment and may have the opportunity to teach other sports classes for additional hours. The position is part-time, with a weekday schedule of approximately 2–5 hours per week. Compensation is $50–$65 per hour. Training and shadowing sessions are unpaid.

Requirements

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Have reliable transportation in the Bay Area.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working with children and be able to manage a classroom professionally.
• Be reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be fully vaccinated and willing to complete a background check.
• Be a local candidate and authorized to work in the United States; visa assistance is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Soccer experience, either teaching or playing, is preferred but not required.
• Ability to teach additional sports, including tennis, dance, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, yoga, PE, Olympic Hopes, or floor hockey.

Responsibilities

• Teach age-appropriate soccer classes for groups of 8–10 students aged 5–10.

• Transport and set up soccer equipment for each class.
• Take attendance and sign students in and out.
• Communicate with parents and staff.
• Capture session highlights with photos.
• Attend training and shadowing sessions to learn the program structure.
