About The Position

The Groomer will operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night, to prepare ski trails and provide an enjoyable and safe mountain environment for Snowbowl guests.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of equipment operation.
• Basic knowledge of Snowbowl terrain and mountain geography.
• Must be at least an intermediate skier/rider.
• Alertness, precision, memory, concentration, judgment, ingenuity, problem solving, spatial perception, reasoning, initiative, patience, and verbal and written communication skills are necessary abilities.
• Must be in good physical shape.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work night shift.
• Must be able to work outside in adverse weather conditions on uneven and slick terrain.
• Ability to see at night.
• Must have a valid US Driver's license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Works well with others as team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night, to prepare ski trails for the skiing public.
• Perform quality grooming without being abusive to Snowbowl property, grooming vehicles, snowmaking infrastructure, chair lift towers and buildings.
• Perform quality grooming without being destructive to the forest and environment.
